Rebecca Grant is a British marine artist working in vibrant acrylic on canvas. Her style sits closer to abstract expressionism than to traditional yacht painting, with warm gold-toned highlights that lift even the deepest blues. Her catalogue includes named yachts (Britannia 1923, Endeavour 1934, Shamrock 1898), quieter seascapes, abstracts, and the Golden Hour series of sunsets. What sizes do you offer?
Originals are unique pieces, so sizes vary; current dimensions for a specific original are available on request from the studio. Limited edition prints are offered in six sizes. Three rectangular formats follow the standard A series: A1 at 594 by 841 mm, A2 at 420 by 594 mm and A3 at 297 by 420 mm. Three square formats are 420 by 420 mm, 595 by 595 mm and 840 by 840 mm. Originals are unique pieces; sizes vary and current dimensions are available on request from the studio.
What is the difference between an original and a limited edition print?
An original is a one-of-a-kind acrylic painting on canvas, signed by the artist. A signed limited edition print is a giclée reproduction of one of those originals on archival paper, hand signed and numbered as part of a limited edition.
Are the prints signed?
Every original is signed by Rebecca Grant on the front of the canvas. Every limited edition print is hand signed and hand numbered as part of a strictly limited run, supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
How does Rebecca's work differ from traditional marine art?
Most British marine art is realist: a faithful, often photographic, painting of a yacht or a scene. Rebecca’s work is contemporary and painterly, sitting closer to abstract expressionism, with warm gold-toned highlights and a bolder palette. The yacht is sometimes recognisable, sometimes not.
